SVdP Baseball 2010 Registration

WIDGET BASEBALL
SVdP baseball offers 3rd and 4th grade boys the opportunity to participate in the St. Bernadette Instructional Baseball League. This is a "kid pitch" league and a great environment for learning the game and developing baseball skills. Ninety minute practices will be held two days per week after school at a location to be announced. Games will be played Friday evenings and Saturdays at St. Bernadettes School, 1100 Upham Street in Lakewood. Practices will begin the week of March 1st, weather permitting. Games begin the last week of March and end the first week in May. A post-season league tournament begins the first week of May and is typically finished by May 15th.

JV BASEBALL
The JV Baseball team is open to 5th and 6th Grade boys. Ninety minute practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at Congress Park from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Practices begin the week of Monday, March 1st, weather permitting.

VARSITY BASEBALLThe Varsity Baseball team is open to 7th and 8th grade boys. Ninety minute practices will be held Mondays and Wednesdays and Fridays at Congress Park from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM or at Garland Park 4:00 to 6:30 PM. Practices begin the week of Monday, March 1st, weather permitting.

JV and VARSITY GAMES
The JV and Varsity Teams compete in the Catholic Schools Athletic League (CSAL) http://www.csalden.org/ . Away games will be played at parish schools around the league. The SVdP JV/Varsity home fields are at Congress Park located at 8th and Josephine near the Denver Botanical Gardens, and Garland Park located just east of Holly and Cherry Creek Drive South. Regular season games typically begin the last week of March and run through the last week of April. A league tournament follows the regular season and is normally finished prior to May 15th.

SVdP BOYS SPRING BASEBALL SIGN-UP

The grass will be greening up in no time, so it's time to start getting organized for SVdP BOY'S SPRING BASEBALL!

SVdP Baseball available to boys in 3rd through 8th grades.
3rd and 4th grade boys will compete in the St. Bernadette Instructional Widget League.
5th through 8th grade boys will compete in the Catholic Schools Athletic League (CSAL).

The Spring Baseball season runs from mid-March through early May. A post-season tournament follows the regular season and will be complete by the middle of May.

Registration sheets will be available in the Crusader Connection during the second week of February. Registration fees are $75.00 per student. Each student must provide his own baseball glove and a pair of BLACK baseball pants available at any local sporting goods store. All other equipment, uniform jerseys, hat, and a warm-up jacket will be provided.

Indoor skills clinics will be held on Saturdays during the month of February, subject to the availability of the gym. These clinics are open to all prospective SVdP baseball players and are free of charge. Please check back here for dates, times and details.
Outdoor practices will begin the first week of March, weather permitting.
