JVs TAKE 4TH PLACE IN TOURNEY

It was an exciting rematch with Notre Dame on Saturday at Brent Mayne. This one had it all, great pitching, big hits, stolen bases and big momentum shifts. But in the end, the Crusaders came up short, 11-10. But, what a game! What a season!

Sincere thanks to our parents, coaches and to the Catholic Schools Athletic League (CSAL). Your dedication to our school and to our children made another exciting season possible. Our Crusaders appreciate you all!

JVs STUMBLE AGAINST ST. BERNADETTE

The JV faced a tough 6-4 loss last night at Brent Mayne against St. Bernadette in Round 2 of the Division II Tournament. They move on to Round 3 Saturday, 5/9 10:00 AM at Brent Mayne.

VARSITY FALLS TO STS. PETER AND PAUL

Sts. Peter and Paul jumped to an early lead and was able hold off the Crusaders in a 7-3 contest last night at St. Mary's. The loss eliminates the Crusaders from the Championship tournament.

JVs FACE ST. BERNADETTE TONIGHT AT 6:00 PM

The JVs return to storied Brent Mayne Fields this evening for a Round 2 matchup with St. Bernadette. St. Bernadette handed the JV Crusaders their only loss of the regular season. This promises to be a good one!

Game time is 6:00 PM. Please be at the field by 5:00 PM for warmup.

To get to Brent Mayne Fields, take Sante Fe (South) past Belleview to Union Avenue (West) for about a half mile. The field complex is on the right (North).

Stranded base runners frustrated the Varsity in a tough contest yesterday at Brent Mayne.

The Varsity is still in the hunt for the Championship in the double elimination, playback tourney, but they'll need to run the table.

JVs FINISH SEASON IN FIRST PLACE !

The JV Crusaders finished in sole possession of their division yesterday with a convincing 5-4 win over Notre Dame at Fishhack Field.

As usual, pitching, defense and heads up baserunning carried the day.

The JV Crusaders posted an 8 win and 1 loss record for their season.

VARSITY FINISHES UNDEFEATED !

The Varsity finished their season undefeated with a 16-1 win at St. John the Baptist. The play of the game featured a long drive by a Crusader Mom!

The Varsity finishes on top of their division at 7-0-1.

WIDGETS ADVANCE TO CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET

Coming off a convincing second round win Friday evening, the Widgets advanced to the championship bracket with a third round victory today at St. Bernadette.

The Crusaders bats were popping in a game featuring three consecutive Crusader home runs!

The City Championship Game will be held at St. Bernadette on Saturday, 5/2 at high noon.

WIDGETS EARN A FIRST ROUND TOURNEY BYE

In keeping with their winning record, the SVdP Widgets have earned a first round BYE in the Widget City Tournament. Well done gentlemen!

The Crusader Widgets will play in Round 2 of the Tourney at 6:15 PM on Friday 5/1 at Holy Trinity. They will face the winner of Round 1 (either Sts. Peter & Paul or Holy Trinity).

A win means a Saturday, 5/2 game at 11:45 AM. A loss means a Saturday, 5/2 game at 1:00 PM. Both of these Saturday games will be played at St. Bernadette.

On the road, down 3 -1 in the bottom of the 4th they decided it was time to hit the after burners. The Crusaders, led by their underclassmen, hit and ran their way to a 6 to 3 victory at St. Thomas Moore today.

WIDGETS TAKE A PAIR IN WEEKEND ACTION AT ST. BERNADETTE

The Widgets continued their winning ways last Saturday sweeping another doubleheader (9-2) and (6-3) at St. Bernadettes. Sling-Shot Sam showed the long ball isn't just for upperclassmen, clobbering a home run in game one.

Pitching was dominant in a convincing 12-1 win at Fishack field yesterday. Washington Park Will went the distance holding St. Thomas Moore to one hit while striking out 15 of 18 batters. Nice work Crusaders!

JVs WIN AT HOME OVER GOOD SHEPHERD

The Chicago Kid went the distance today striking out 7 of 16 batters, holding the talented Grizzlies to a single run.

Crusader bats were cracking too. The General got things rolling with a lead off home run, and your Crusaders managed nine more hits, two for extra bases by the same underclassman! Defense didn't disappoint, and as usual, the basepaths were on fire.

Get some dinner, and get some rest because we're back at it 10:00 AM tomorrow at Fishack Field at Congress Park. We square off against the sluggers from All Souls.

JV's WIN ON THE ROAD IN BROOMFIELD

JV's win at Nativity 6-1.

It was a good day at the plate! Six runs on eight hits, with one tater, and a three bagger.

But, it was an even better day on the hill. Our starter pitched two and a half innings of no hit ball, striking out seven of the first ten batters faced. Good stuff!

Dress for the weather, you can count on it getting chilly in the late afternoon. And please, don't forget to bring a water bottle!

ACADEMIC /CONDUCT REQUIREMENT HIGHLIGHTS

Student must maintain a class average of 77% or above in all classes (C- or better).

A student will be considered ineligible if he/she has a class average of 76% or less (D+ or below) in two subjects for one week or any subject for two consecutive weeks. The ineligibility week runs from Monday through Sunday.

Student must demonstrate exemplary behavior throughout the week to represent the school in all school-sponsored sports or extra-curricular activities.
A student will be considered ineligible if he/she earns three marks/detentions in one week.

Student must attend school on all practice and game days.
If a student is absent due to illness for more than half of the school day, he/she will be ineligible for games or practices on that school day.
